Globally the fashion industry continues to produce textiles (clothing, footwear, etc.) at an unprecedented pace, the impact on the planet is increasingly becoming evident. Due to their complexity, textiles are difficult to recycle, contributing significantly to waste streams. In response, governments worldwide are stepping up to address this challenge. Some countries like Kenya have already taken a proactive approach to introduce EPR systems for textiles.
